Dr. Michael Klein is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with children/adolescents with; depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, ADHD, chronic pain/CRPS (AMPS), and learning/developmental concerns. Additionally, he has specialized training in medical family therapy. Dr. Klein has particular expertise in pediatric health psychology, and working as part of multidisciplinary healthcare teams. He is highly proficient in diagnostic interviewing, psychological testing, collaboration, and individual, couples, and family therapy. Dr. Klein has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families of all ages and backgrounds in a multitude of treatment settings (outpatient, inpatient, hospitals/medical settings, counseling centers, schools, etc.). His theoretical orientations are cognitive-behavioral and family systems. Dr. Klein treats all individuals, couples, and families utilizing a biopsychosocial approach.
Dr. Klein completed his doctoral degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (APA-Accredited), and his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center (APA-Accredited). Dr. Klein is a member of the New York State Psychological Association, and the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Klein is an in-network participating provider for the following insurance companies: Excellus BCBS, Aetna, and MVP. In addition, Dr. Klein accepts self-payment for services.
