Taylor Achtyl, M.A.

Taylor Achtyl, M.A., is a clinical psychology doctoral student at D’Youville University (Medaille teach-out) and a predoctoral psychology fellow with the Rochester Institute of Technology Priority Behavioral Health Internship Program. She is currently placed with Rochester Psychological Assessment & Testing (RPAT) group within Linden Oaks Therapy Offices. She previously earned her Master’s in Psychology from Medaille University. Taylor has developed specialization in assessment and intervention with adolescents and adults across a wide variety of settings. Prior to joining Linden Oaks, Taylor completed practicum placements at BestSelf Behavioral Health, Medaille University Student Counseling Center, and UBMD Neuropsychology.  Taylor has experience providing individual therapy to persons who experience depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), grief, and personality disorders. She utilizes an individualized approach to therapy and has been trained in both Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic therapies. Additionally, Taylor enjoys working with first responders, as she holds certification as a New York State Emergency Medical Technician. Further, Taylor has extensive experience providing psychological and neuropsychological assessment for various psychiatric, neurological, and comorbid medical disorders. After completion of her predoctoral internship year and graduating with her PsyD (planned Summer 2025), she will pursue post-doctoral training in clinical neuropsychology. Taylor is currently completing her dissertation examining executive function and emotion regulation in college-aged student athletes who have experienced sports-related concussion.
